Problem
You and your friends want to start a rate my landlord website. You find out that there are about a dozen larger companies that own several properties. You want to keep track of the name of the landlord's property rental company. You also want to save the landlords phone number and website address.
For each landlord we want to track each of the properties that they rent. For each rental property, we will store the property name (if a complex), the address, the rental type (house or apartment), and the number of bedrooms.
We only want to allow university students to do the ratings. Any renter who wants to rate a landlord must have a university email. We will use their email address to identify them and send their passwords. We also want to keep their name and whether or not they want their ratings to be anonymous.
A single student may live in several different rental properties before they graduate and want to rate each property. We do not want to make the rating process long or complicated. We only ask a few questions and give a large comment section. Each student rating should include the start and end date of their rental period and a large comment area. They should also have a rating from 0 to 5 stars for cleanliness, value, landlord honesty, and overall recommendation.
Over time, we hope to accumulate several student renter ratings for each of the properties and then tie those properties back to the landlords and generate an overall rating score for each landlord.
