Problem
In the Politics, Aristotle argues that individual human life achieves its natural end only in the political life of the State. Using this idea as a starting point, discuss the place and importance of individual identity in at least two works read in class. You might argue that Homer and Socrates support the individual. You might argue that Thucydides and Sophocles show the dangers of supremacy of the State. You may have an idea of your own to pursue.
