Should the person be able to choose their sex

Problem: The article you read

Actions uses an abundance of scientific evidence to demonstrate that sex should not be considered binary in every situation, so it is a spectrum. The counterargument is that fertilization requires a male and a female gamete and that is how sex should be defined. Most people easily fit into the average male or female category (the binary model). According to the article 1 out of every 100 people could have a DSD. It wraps up with the question, "So if the law requires that a person is male or female, should that sex be assigned by anatomy, hormones, cells, or chromosomes, and what should be done if they clash?" Please share your thoughts on this question in the assignment. Here is some help in writing your response.

Q1. How do YOU think sex (not gender - gender is a social construct) should be defined: anatomy, hormones, cells, or chromosomes? Justify your answer.

Q2. What should be done if they don't ALL align? Should the person be able to choose their sex? Should it still be assigned based on one of those? Justify your answer.

Q3. If this really makes it hard for you to pick one, discuss why that is. Responses need to be based on BIOLOGY, not political ideology, religious ideology, etc.
