Should the government regulate labor in private industry

Problem:

How can you respond to this discussion: Hello Professor and Classmates, Above, I have attached a copy of my google slides presentation on child labor. The question asks should the government regulate labor in private industry? Why or why not? Yes, I do agree that the government should regulate in when it pertains to private industries. This is because, without laws and regulations in place company CEO's will do whatever they want to do without any repercussions. This is especially true when it comes to child labor in the work force. Child labor is cruel and is child abuse in my opinion. Children should have the opportunity to grow up, and be a kid, without facing harsh working conditions. Such as back breaking work, exposure to danger, chemicals and just the stress of working. Children are not mentally equipped to handle working, they lack discernment, as well as decision making skills that most adults have. In addition to this, it's important the U.S. government sets many work regulations. This is in order to protect employees' rights, as well as to make big corporations liable for the power they have, and any wrongdoing in a business-driven world we live in.
