After learning about how organizational culture is defined and applied in some organizations, what is your opinion of the idea of hiring (and retaining, or not) for "cultural fit?"
Is it just another way of saying: hiring people we that we like, who are like us -- and therefore firing people we don't like (with "Culture" as an excuse)?
Should it be the basis of management practices in modern organizations?
Is it a good practice, but less important than other factors?
Is it just another way of saying: hiring people with good social and teamwork skills (who could probably "fit" in most organizations)?
Is it a valid idea, but more applicable in some organizations than others?
