Assignment Task:
In 2012, Michael Dunn asked four teenagers parked in a gas station lot to turn down the loud music coming from their SUV. Seventeen-year-old Jordan Davis refused. After an argument, Dunn fired 10 shots into the teen's car. Three struck Jordan, killing him. Dunn claimed he thought he saw a shotgun in the car and acted to defend himself under Florida's "Stand Your Ground" law. However, the teens had no weapon. Should citizens have a right to protect themselves with deadly force? Should a citizen be required to retreat from an armed suspect before taking action?
