Contributions may include alternate views or supplementary information based on news items, website sources, or even personal experience is fine, but please provide a connection to class material that is being discussed on the day your group is assigned to post (not another day).
Posts should demonstrate that you understand the material for class on that assigned day, that you have thought about the material, and have looked for more information on the material that interests you to share with your classmates (and us). Posts should be 300 words (no more!) and will be graded on a scale from 1-5 to reflect relevance to the course material, engagement with the topic, and quality of grammar and prose. Please add the references you used to the bottom of the email (e.g., a website link to an interesting article you read).
1) I want each post to share/discuss a personal experience or outside source/news item/blog, article, etc.
2) I would prefer not to hear about what you read in another class, as I would love for you to look for new things out there that represent the material well for you.
3) Each post should connect clearly to the reading for the day that your group is assigned to read. You should state exactly what it was about the reading that inspired you to look up this alternate source or share this story, etc.
4) Posts should be 300 words. I am looking for 50-100 words of each post to be about the day's readings and 200-250 words to be about an outside source.
5) Please cite both the class reading with a page number in the text of the email so I know exactly where you experienced a moment of inspiration during your reading.
6) Please cite the outside source (if there is one) at the bottom of your email, as well.
