Purpose:
The purpose of this Collaboration Café is to reflect on the foundational knowledge for nursing practice and the professional identity of nursing, exploring their impact on client care.
Course Outcomes:
This Collaboration Café enables the student to meet the following course outcomes:
CO 1: Applies principles of nursing, theories, and the care philosophies to self, colleagues, individuals, families, aggregates, and communities throughout the healthcare system.
CO 3: Demonstrates effective communication with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare providers in managing safe/quality healthcare processes using evidence-based practices.
CO 4: Integrates clinical nursing judgment using effective communication strategies with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare providers.
CO 6: Plans clinical practice activities that integrate professional nursing standards in accordance with the Nursing Code of Ethics and the American Nurses' Association (ANA) standards of practice.

Step 1: Answer all questions below with explanations and details. No scholarly sources are required.
Paragraph one: Reflect on the historical, theoretical, and scientific foundations of nursing. Which foundation influences your nursing perspective and practices the most? Explain why.
Paragraph two: How has the self-assessment of the core values of the nursing profession influenced /your approach to client care, ethical decision-making and professional relationships within the healthcare team?
