Question: While mixed methods studies are valuable, they are more work than selecting a qualitative or quantitative approach and, thus, are not undertaken as frequently. It is important to be exposed to and critically evaluate this type of research. When it is done well, it is very informative, but given the additional coordination and analyses, there is more of a risk that it will be underutilized or reported.
