Create a list, in table format, of at least five formative assessments.
- Describe when and why you might use each type of assessment. Explain any adaptations that you will make to the formative assessments and explain why the adaptation is necessary for selected student(s) instead of modifying the entire assessment for the whole class.
- Select and administer a formative assessment to students. Report the results of the formative assessment. Reflect on the experience. What did you learn about students' abilities? What did you learning about the process of administering the assessment? Did the process work? Explain. Was the actual assessment effective? Explain?
- What is the difference between a formative and summative assessment? How do formative assessments inform instruction?
