You should write a one-paragraph “pitch” describing what your final story — Story No. 5 — will be about. You should include the element of change or newsworthiness that you’ve found. You should make clear how this is a story of interest to a Bloomington, Indiana audience, or at least to some segment of a Bloomington audience. You should also suggest what sources, or at least what types of sources, you might interview. Think of this as a pitch to an editor for a story you’d like to write. I want you to be successful, so I’ll let you know promptly if I think the idea needs fine-tuning.
