Section 7 of the National Labor Relations Act describes certain employee rights. In its original form (it was amended in 1947) Section 7 stated: “Employees shall have the right to self-organization, to form, join, or assist labor organizations, to bargain collectively through representatives of their own choosing, and to engage in other concerted activities for the purpose of collective bargaining or other mutual aid or protection.” How do the rights outlined in this section apply to unionized employees? How do they apply to non-union employees.
