1. Search the nursing literature related to caring practices of nurses. Identify and summarize two articles that deal with how nurses demonstrate caring to patients. If possible, one article should come from a Christian nursing journal. Each article should be properly cited according to APA. Summaries should be one to two paragraphs long.
2. Identify Scripture that best describes and/or supports your personal view of caring. Elaborate on why you think the passage applies to nursing and caring practices.
Identify at least two research-based articles related to the educational entry level for nursing. Linda Aiken from the University of Pennsylvania and Peter Buerhaus from Vanderbilt University are two excellent nurse researchers addressing such things as staffing patterns and entry level related to patient outcomes.
For each article, submit the following:
A complete APA citation
A brief summary
An analysis of the research findings:
Are they valid and reliable?
Do they support the entry level debate in one way or another?
Are they applicable to actual practice?
Your reaction to the research: What did you learn and did it change your opinion about entry level?
Do BSNs Make a Difference?
What is your opinion on entry level and why?
Support your opinion with research.
