Sean makes a valid point about an enterprise being costly and there being a concern for it to pay off. Given that it is expensive, the cost can be a challenge as well as determining if it is worth the investment. Everyone can agree that there are many benefits that can be gained from implementing an enterprise system. It is basically one system doing the work of several because it is a multi-functional application.
I am sure that most of you know that some benefits cannot be easily measured, but yet are still valuable. Upper or executive level management is typically concerned with how a project will affect the "bottom line". In other words, how will a project translate into m-o-n-e-y?
What do you think are some ways to justify the investment when attempting to persuade someone to make the decision to implement an enterprise system?
