For this assignment, you are the manufacturer of your favorite brand of beer (or soda if you don't partake in beer). You brewery/factory is located in the same zip code as your home address. For purposes of this exercise, if you live outside the USA, assume you're located in State College (16802).
You have to figure out how to get your product from your factory to two kinds of customers; 1) domestic and 2) international.

Your assignment is to put together a move plan in both full-truck-load and, full-container-load for your two customers respectively and, what the costs will be.

b) What are the specifications for a full-truck-load of your product (pallets, cases and total weight)?
c) What are the specifications for a full-container-load of your product (cases and total weight)?
a. Assume you are shipping in a 40'HC container and there are no pallets (floor loaded)
d) For the domestic move, you must compare at least 3 options on both price and, lead-time. You may choose to do truck only or, one option maybe intermodal.
e) For the least cost option, what is the cost per case and, what is the cost per ton-mile?
f) For the international move, you must compare at least 3 options on both price and, lead-time. You may choose to do the in-land portion via truck only or, one option maybe intermodal.

h) Find a reasonable price for your product at a known retailer. This is your starting price for questions I and j.
i) For the domestic delivery, what % of the revenue is the logistics' cost per case?
j) For the international delivery, what % of the revenue is the logistics' cost per case?
