Assignment:
Safety and Health Pioneers
Question 1. Choose a person from the list. In three paragraphs tell what contribution this person made to the health and safety practice and why you think the contribution was important.
Question 2. “Near miss accident” is a widely used term in the safety industry and is used in the workplace to describe an incident that did not result in an injury. Near hit incidents are incidents that result in neither injury nor property damage but have the potential to cause injury or property damage and require corrective action to prevent their reoccurrence.
Have you witnessed one of these incidents or been involved in one? Why should we be concerned with having a system to track and investigate near miss or near hit accidents?
