First Module Goals:
I plan to gain self-confidence to present concerns and openly discuss issues in meetings and conferences in 6 months. The first step to build confidence and comfort is to start asking questions in professional and social settings. For instance, every time my professor opens a dialogue in the classroom. I will ask questions to boost my knowledge in specific subject matters. I will interact with others either in school, at work, or around friends by listening and giving constructive feedback.
Another goal is to develop a deeper understanding of healthcare laws and regulations by the end of this course. I will expand my knowledge by researching and reading legislation online and learning from mentors. Besides, I want to develop strong verbal and written communication skills within three months. I will practice public speaking, ask for feedback, and draft responses to achieve this goal. Developing confidence, solid communication skills, and understanding legislation will help me establish good relationships with colleagues and work within laws.
