Assignment:
Research Paper: The President of the United States has a cabinet of federal government officials who help carry out his executive agenda. Please pick one (1) current U.S. cabinet official and write a 4 to 6 page research paper on the role of that particular person within the cabinet.
At a minimum, your research paper must include:
1. a historical background of the cabinet official.
2. a background of the department he/she leads.
3. a detailed discussion of the powers of this cabinet official.
4. how this individual has helped shape or craft the presidential agenda.
5. what might you do differently if you were that cabinet official.
Please be specific. If you chose to quote from a source in your research paper, it must be cited correctly. Please do not cite from Wikipedia as it is NOT a source of reliable information. You will be submitting this paper through BlackBoard. Additionally, I am well-read and familiar with most essay-creation websites, so if you attempt to pass off non-original material as your own, you will fail the assignment with a score of "0."
