The paper proposes a teaching plan for my community. The Teaching Plan Work proposal presented to The Living Well Church Women's Ministry in Arlington Texas; The target is parents of children with juvenile diabetes and relatives of people with juvenile diabetes. The selected topic is primary health promotion Diabetes Type 1, and an argument is seen in the category of health management, and; Nutrition/ Weight Status. In Healthy People 2020. "Type 1 diabetes is increasing in kids, in the association with rising obesity rates. This pattern is alarming in light of the fact that, as younger individuals develop the disease, the complexities, morbidity, and mortality connected with diabetes are all prone to happen earlier. Additionally, offspring of women with type 2 diabetes are more well-likely to develop the disease. In this way, the blossoming of diabetes in younger populations could prompt an endless loop of perpetually ever growing rates of diabetes."

Factors that were Identified to indicate their readiness to learn based on their level of knowledge will include emotional and experiential aspects which may include:
levels of education, language/patterns used for communication, affected person behavior and self-control, academics skill of the participants and their families, regulation of learning, independence and their social competency. Family characteristics, household income, structure, guidance or family level of educational background, and availability opportunities in engagement and participation in activities with other counterparts. (Stanhope & Lancaster) 2008).
parents of young children affected with diabetes type one, and relatives of people affected with diabetes type one are the targeted group.
The behavioral and developmental theory is utilized for the teaching. The participants can discuss how they manage diabetes and how they monitor blood glucose and diet. This makes it conceivable to tell the quality of life that these participants have been living. For example; the staple foods for this community includes rice and corn meal which are rich in calories but less in nutrients for a diabetic glycemic control. . This is the reason for the power point picture presentations, hands on activities, and utilizing the ‘create your picture presentation to illustrate and personally addressing any concerns.
These apparatus are proper and suitable for the advancement of the focused participants. The Healthy people 2020's objectives on healthy nutrition and activity are stable verifiable ways of managing diet and weight for a diabetic person. The point of the Healthy People 2010 is supporting and expanding the correspondence of nutritious eating routines and regular activity to manage and lower complications of diabetes. (healthy People 2012). The fundamental explanation for the utilization these participants is to urge them to eat and provide foods that are high in nutrients and low in calories or sugars in their homes and to incorporate decisions in their diets that include organic foods, lots of vegetables and fiber.
Healthy People 2020 aim of nutrition as mentioned is to align similar goals including teaching on health problems and prevention and controlling of those issues, improvement in food choices and proper nutrition for the affected group and population as a whole as seen in (Maurer & Smith, 2009.Pp 116). The common goal exists between the healthy people 2020 and the Alma Ata's health for the world in providing teaching and encouraging people to consume healthy foods through finding out means of providing that food and nutrition via various channels.
Four different behavioral objectives for the proposal teaching were formed. The school age will comprehend the need of having vegetables and fruits at five servings a day (JDRF). Attractive exhibition of colorful foods for quick preparation of diabetic snacks and testing was utilized. I arranged colorful sheets including vegetables and unique organic products to be used by the participants. The kids and the parents could list no less than four foods as observed from the create your plate guides. Selecting nourishment from the food graphs illustration of organic products, milk, and its products, meat (lean), low fats foods. Limiting to take unhealthy foods, included sugars and salt, fats and saturated fats, decrease fat foods (Healthy People, 20120).
At the course of the teaching, the participants could make up a healthy meal from the create your plate guide and were ready to clarify with occasions the reasons for the healthy choice of foods. The physical activity discussion was advanced for the prevention of childhood diabetes and help make the suitable plans.
From the 2020 Healthy People, 2012 goal was aimed especially at the youth to:
• Reduce the annual number of new cases of diagnosed diabetes in the population
• (Developmental) Reduce the rate of all-cause mortality among persons with diabetes
• (Developmental) Reduce the rate of cardiovascular disease deaths in individuals with diagnosed diabetes
• Reduce the diabetes death rate
Minimize the rate of lower extremity amputations in persons with diagnosed diabetes
Improve lipid control among people with diagnosed diabetes
Increase the proportion of persons with diagnosed diabetes whose blood pressure is under control
Increase the percentage of persons with diagnosed diabetes who have at least an annual dental examination
Increase the proportion of adults with diabetes who have at least an annual foot examination
Increase the percentage of adults with diabetes who have a glycosylated hemoglobin measurement at least twice a year
Enhance the percentage of adults with diabetes who have an annual dilated eye examination
Improve glycemic control among persons with diabetes
Accessibility of appropriate resources for play will be essential both to schools and the community. Making walkways for kids to ride bicycles, trails and considerably other options. are important.
From the Department of Health and Human Services, 2012, having the capacity to be innovative all through the presentation, and to make it simple, the participants were given a chance to take into account relevant correspondence to vent out and talk about healthy and unhealthy foods. In the first segment, the participants were separated into groups of fours and were shown pictures of various complications of diabetes, healthy and unhealthy foods, and the distinctive groups were asked to debate the pros of their choices and explain the importance of healthy eating. By the utilization of demonstrations, the group of participants were asked questions, and they answered concerning physical activity and healthy foods needed to manage diabetes. With the above-mentioned techniques, it supported their interest and comprehension within the environment.
In an evaluation of the presentation usefulness, questionnaires on each of the goals will be served to the audience, this, in turn, will let me know which of the public learned anything from my presentation and also help to offer variations to add to the effectiveness. The evaluation forms will be returned towards the end of the presentation to evaluate its effectiveness. The forms will be precise and made as simple as and focus on the usefulness and effectiveness of the resources was and availability of the forms in different language especially in Spanish as possible as.
The barriers are common in all forms of teaching and preparation, like the challenges facing the nurses on the delivery of their health care education. These obstacles and much more can prevent them from accomplishing their set goals, which includes the knowledge and learning the healthy lifestyle. I anticipated barrier factors and useful strategies were formed against these obstacles. One's cultural belief, as well as language, is a barrier that can stop and limit understanding of the nurse's teaching throughout the presentation (King, nd). Maryland contains a vast number of Spanish populations, for this reason, and much more, the proposal resources were both prepared in both Spanish / English. I made of a translator who is bilingual to simplify it.
I evaluated the need for any more individual care from the audience (King, nd.). Cultural competency and respect were utilized for provision of sensitive nursing care plan ( King, nd). Barriers can include age as seen in very young age like the kindergarten, ( Lauren, 2012). To add to that, this why I used pictures in the proposal to increase their interest and understanding and complete compliance ( Lauren, 2012). Because they may lack cooperation, I added and shared some incentives to increase participation and never done with force, the vocabulary used were made easy and straightforward. Any new information should be in a fun, honest and friendly method and highlight on the proposal and its relation to our life.
To sum up this; stable diet regimen, lifestyle, healthy body weight and substantially much more will be enhanced by consolidating these projected points and objectives in their children and family members. Increasing their Day to day physical activities, and planning ahead of time will also enhance their lifestyles. I trust they will take after the change and make a difference by incorporating, Healthy People 2020's objectives in accomplishing excellent health, promoting and protecting their lives.
