Select one of these three policy initiatives, and examine the positives and negatives of the approach. Determine the effects of the criminal justice policy on the other elements of the criminal justice community—courts, corrections, and juvenile justice. What is the current presidential or other elected official’s stance on these programs? How do these policing concepts fit with the era of homeland security? Are these programs in line with social justice concepts? Based on government budget priorities, how does the court fund these initiatives? What effect does court-directed revisions to criminal justice policies have on overall criminal justice reform?
