Assignment task:
Nurse Educator Case Study
Researchers collected data from a hospital unit to determine factors associated with cardiovascular disease among patients at the hospital. A survey was provided to 8,000 patients at the time of discharge. Researchers noted that due to repeat admissions, there were 6,500 unique responses, for a response rate of 65%. The researchers decided to focus on determining whether three factors were associated with cardiovascular disease and without cardiovascular disease (variable 1), age (variable 2), gender (variable 3), and the number of stressful life events over the previous year (variable 4). For the last question, respondents needed to recall and write a list of all these events, and the researchers counted them.
