Assignment task:
This week, on Thursday, June 27th, former President Donald Trump of the Republican Party and President Joe Biden of the Democratic Party debated one another to try to convince voters who would be the superior President for the next four years.
Your assignment:
Watch at least 45 minutes of the debate. (Trump vs Biden 2024)
Type a paper at least one page in length about the debate.
The first half of your paper needs to be a summary of the debate. This is hard to do with a complicated debate for just a paper, so do your best. Try to include the main themes, the main arguments the candidates made, and anything else interesting that caught your attention.
The second half of the paper is your opinion of the debate. Which candidate(s) did a good job, and which one(s) stunk? Was there a winner? Say so, and explain. Tell the reader things you liked about the debate and things you didn't like about the debate.
Lastly, try to keep your observations of the debate to things that are actually substantial -- I don't care what the candidates are wearing, for instance, and I know everybody's annoyed by "bickering" and "interrupting." What are your opinions on the things that they said.
