Problem: In the video Tackling the Stigma Surrounding Disability and Sexuality, Stella Palikarova describes a barrier to relationships for disabled women that she calls "courtesy stigma". What does she mean by this? that family and friends are likely to pressure an able-bodied man to date a woman with a disability just to "be nice" that women with disabilities who are perceived as "overly clingy" are reacting that way out of fear of being perceived as rude or uncaring about their partner's feelings that family and friends of an able-bodied men are likely to imply that there is something wrong with him for choosing a less-than-able-bodied woman, as there is peer pressure to only date "ideal" or "perfect" women that men assume that the answer to any sexual advance is a "no" out of a sense of misguided propriety or an assumption that disability means you are unable to give consent
