Assignment instruction:
Keep in mind The Art Curator Project Prep and Final will require you to select at least 6 different artworks from at least 2 different artists/cultures or eras for a total of 6 artworks. These can all be of the same or different media (architecture, textiles, painting, sculpture, calligraphy, ceramics, paintings, etc.) Push yourself to select at least 6 works that intrigue you now. You can change your choices as your work develops and as you read more in the textbook.
For your Pitch:
Follow the "Anatomy of a Pitch" guidelines.
Include at least 6 artworks, 2 each from at least 3 different cultures.
Include why you chose them and how they are alike or different.
Consider which aspects you have the most questions about or personal interest in investigating further. This might be a medium such as sculpture or textiles. Or maybe a topic such as the role of religion in art, or the roles of artists or women in a culture appeals most to you. Trust your instinct here.
Format: this can be a PowerPoint or a Word doc with images.
Label all artworks. Follow format of textbook captions.
Include sources and cite correctly (APA or MLA format).
