Summarize and respond the passage: The article, "Communication after medical error: The need to measure the patient experience" was very interesting to me in that the goal of the article was to better understand patient outcomes after harm events occurred. The authors aimed to evaluate the important reason for transparent communication with patients after a medical error: reducing emotional harm (Kachalia, 2024). They found that addressing the medical error quickly, being open and honest with the patient about what occurred and apologizing for the event itself helped to increase patient outcomes. They discuss that Communication and Resolution Programs and their impact on patient outcomes after a harm event. Some areas have adopted this plan of using CRPs to help in mitigating risk of emotion harm by implementing open and honest communication with patients. The goal of the CRPs is to help decrease an emotional harm to the patient as a result of the error versus any concern for liability. The studies show that patients expect to be told about errors in care in a timely fashion, why and how the error occurred, accountability from the providers, an apology and reassurance that the error will not occur in the future
