Respond to the editor referencing DAP for preschoolers.
Save us from all these fads in education like the DAP stuff you highlighted in Sunday's paper. I say it's time we stopped fooling around and got down to the business of teaching our children what they need to know - reading, 'riting and 'rithmetic. No wonder we're not number 1 in education - students are just playing all day and teachers are milling around not really teaching. If we're going to educate our youngsters well, we need to start early and get them used to what real school is like. Dump the toys, forget the chaos, and let's get our kids on the right track from preschool on up. Our children deserve no less than the best! H. Jones
