Argumentative Paper
- The paper writen in the MLA style format.
Assignment: Respond to the article "The War on Reason" by composing an argumentative paper that includes a thesis and well-developed support based on incorporated sources.
1. Title page: includes your title, your name, our class, your instructor's name, due date
2. Outline page: includes your title, your thesis statement (1 sentence), and each of your topic sentences (in the order they occur in your paper)
3. Paper itself: 4-5 pages (or 1,200 words) minimum, including a running header, one in-text citation each at a minimum in the form of a quotation (not to exceed three lines) from the primary source and the four secondary sources (listed on the next page of this prompt), traditional academic essay paragraph structure:
- Thesis paragraph (state topic, state thesis, briefly mention how the remainder of the paper will be organized)
- Well-developed supporting paragraphs, each beginning with a topic sentence, and each including at least one in-text citation in the form of a quotation not to exceed three lines
-Conclusion paragraph
4. Works Cited page: list (in MLA format) all sources that you cite in the paper; sources are limited to the primary source "The War on Reason" and the four secondary sources.
