Question: Researchers asked parents of children who had died of cancer: "Did you talk about death with your child at any time?" None of the 147 who did so regretted talking about death, but 69 of the 282 who had not talked about death said they wished they had.5 The difference is pronounced enough that we can conclude for all parents of dying children, they would be less likely to experience regrets if they talked about death with their children.
