Research Methods in Social Science Written Assignment:
Missing and lost children are a topic of great interest in the news and across the general population. One aspect of child safety is parent or caregiver monitoring of children in public places.
For this assignment, go to a public place (a mall, airport, fast food restaurant, etc.) and observe how carefully parents or caregivers monitor children’s location and activities. You will need to keep notes to recall accurately what you observe. Please observe at least five (5) different pairs of caregivers and children.
With child safety in mind, how well do you think the caregivers did? What did they do very well? What could they have done better?
Compare the behaviors, and write a summary of your observations and conclusions. Your written summary should be 3-5 pages in length (typed, double-spaced)
