Assignment Task: In March 2022, we shared a research flyer through online nursing organizations, hospital leaders, state chapters, and social media platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. We also obtained nonconfidential nursing email lists from state boards of nursing and health in Connecticut, Nevada, Ohio, and Oregon. We sent up to three emails to registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), and licensed vocational nurses (LVNs) with active licenses from those lists. The flyer included contact information for the primary investigator (MPB), a link to an online screening questionnaire, and a QR code for the consent form. To prevent fraudulent responses, we reviewed IP addresses and monitored questionnaire access attempts. Nurses were asked to provide their names as listed on their licenses, along with their state and email addresses, with assurances that this information would only be used for licensure verification. After verifying licensure, the primary investigator arranged Zoom interviews with potential participants. The interview guide included ten semi-structured questions, two of which focused on nurses' experiences with staffing committees during the COVID-19 pandemic. Demographic data were also collected during these interviews.
