Assignment task:
This assignment takes a more serious note. I am sure most of you have heard the term "cancel culture." Perhaps some of you or someone you know has attempted to cancel another person for something he/she may have said or some position that person takes on issues or for a variety of other reasons. Many times this canceling takes place on social media.
For this assignment you will research cancel culture from both sides. As a positive for society and a negative for society. Your 5-page paper will present both sides of the issue complete with footnotes/parenthetical notation and a bibliography. For each side, 5 references are required (10 all together).Your grade will be based on how effectively you cover both sides of the issue.
You may divide your paper into two parts if you like, pro and con. Please do not define cancel culture. I know what it means.
If you feel compelled to add your opinion on cancel culture you can do so as the last paragraph of the paper. Nowhere else!
