Assignment Task:
Research a professional organization or career advancement program for early childhood practitioners (some examples of these are the NAEYC, the Division for Early Childhood (DEC), the California Early Childhood Mentor Program, the CA Child Development Training Consortium, and the CPIN, the California Preschool Instructional Network). What resources are available, and how could they be used to promote the development of staff members?
Discussion board postings will be assessed during Weeks 4 and 8 of the course. An excellent posting will be about one page long, submitted on time, address the prompt thoroughly, and be free of grammatical and spelling errors, and include an element of faith integration and/or outside research.
Your initial posting and responses to classmates should be posted no later than Thursday at midnight, with responses to your classmates by Sunday midnight. No discussion board postings will be accepted later than one week after the due date. Please see the self-assessment template in Week 4 or Week 8 for more information about BB postings, and for guidance about responding to classmates in BB. Please paste your response directly into the thread, no attachments please.
