Research a current issue in the field of HRM. The purpose of the project is to provide an opportunity to explore in detail a controversial or emerging HRM issue and to think critically about how organizations can effectively manage these issues.
In completing this assignment, assume the role of a task force of employees that has been formed to investigate this issue and present policy recommendations to top management regarding how your organization should deal with the issue.

Papers are to be double-spaced; on 8½x11 in. paper; in 12 pt. Times New Roman font; with 1 in. margins all around.

Your projects should be as realistic as possible. If you feel the size or nature of your organization is a factor, make explicit assumptions about your organization.
Requirements
Each paper shall consist of the following:
1. Brief (no more than one page) background information including a synopsis of the issue, its history, and importance for HRM and organizational performance. (5 points)
2.Analysis of a current event. Current events should be pulled from the popular business press (e.g. The Wall Street Journal, Business Week,
The Economist, Fortune, Fast Company, The New York Times business section) and should detail a change, an intervention, a trend, or an event that has occurred in the last six to twelve months that

1. Describe and analyze the event sufficiently to provide an understanding of what happened, why it is important, and what can be learned.
2. A balanced discussion of the key points of contention surrounding the issue. In discussing these issues, be certain to address the financial and legal implications as well as the potential effects on productivity, morale, and other HR activities.
4. Your recommended policy for what your organization should do in dealing with this issue. Rely heavily on the application of course material in supporting your policy recommendations.
5. Proper grammar, spelling, citations, formatting, etc. throughout the manuscript.
