Relationships between actual history/biography and film

Assignment task: This five-to-six-page paper asks you to compare and contrast:

Refer to the movie Titanic.

The paper should clearly argue a debatable thesis about the relationships between the actual history/biography and a film about that historical event, era, or person.

Do the history/biography and the film match up? If they don't correspond, why not? Does it matter if they do or not? Why or why not?

What parts of the story does each version, the film or the history, emphasize and what might be left unsaid?

Why might the accuracy of a film matter or not?

Please bold your thesis and use active voice only in your thesis. Each paragraph's opening sentence must also use active voice only.

The paper should cite at least six sources, including your cited film(s), and should conform to APA conventions throughout, including parenthetical in-text citations and a references list.

At least three of your sources must exist in non-electronic, conventionally published form, though they might also be available in digital versions.

You will need to analyze in detail at least three scenes from the movie you choose. How do these scenes relate to your thesis?
