Relationship in project deliverables, goals, and outcomes

Problem:

Project deliverables: tangible or measurable results or products that are created as part of a project. They can be documents, software, physical goods, or any other output that is produced. Sipes & FAAN(2019) describe it as the items needed to meet the goals and objectives of the project.

Project goals: are the broad statements or intentions that define what the project intends to achieve. They provide direction and purpose for the project. Eg; A better and Improved EHR system.

Project Outcomes: are the results or impacts that the project is expected to produce, that is the Satisfactory report, were the nurses happy with the new system? Was it easier? Did we have better results than the prior system? eg: 15% increase in nursing satisfaction. Outcomes are the measurement and evaluation of a project's results against the intended or projected intents (Jiang et al., 2018). They are more specific.

All of these are important because they depend on each other. Without a goal which is the aim of the entire project, there can be no deliverables, which are the goods (tangible/nontangible) expected at the end of the project, neither can there be any outcomes, which are the changes or benefits that result from the project, They are all different in that they all have specific targets, Goal( A New EHR System), Deliverables(software, inputs, documents) and Outcome( benefit/rate of satisfaction)
