Relation in location of human populations-natural resources

Question: What is the relationship between the location of human populations and the location of natural resources? Human populations and natural resources are both uniformly distributed across Earth's surface. Human populations are concentrated in areas with large amounts of natural resources. Human populations and natural resources may coincide, but not for all resources, because both are unevenly distributed. Dense human populations almost never coincide with the location of natural resources.
