Scenario:
You spot an old family friend in the local grocery store. She approaches you and you give her a welcoming hug. She asks, "What are you doing these days?" You reply proudly, "I'm going to Saskatchewan Polytechnic and taking a diploma in the early childhood education program." She looks puzzled and then asks, "What will you do with that when you are done?" You respond, "Well, I'd like to work with toddlers in a high quality early learning and child care centre." "Ha! Nice job, playing with little kids all day and getting paid for it, too! I can't believe you have to go to school for a job like that. Doesn't playing all day just come naturally to kids? Sounds like babysitting with a fancy name to me!"
