Assignment: Victim
For this assignment, you will reflect on the media's portrayal of crime and how it may contribute to victim blaming? It may help to identify a specific news segment, show, or movie. Think about how victims are portrayed? Are they blamed? Is there a discussion concerning why they were targeted? What consequences of the crime were revealed (financial, physical, emotional, psychological)?
