Assessment criteria: This assessment will be marked in accordance to the rubrics that is attached to the unit outline.
The Reflective Report is a reflection on the students own experience and should demonstrate the following:
- A description of the organisation and your role during the volunteer placement
- What awareness you gained on social justice issues and the economic and social effects of modem life whilst undertaking your volunteer placement within a not-for-profit organisation
- What heightened awareness you gained on the responsibility of individuals to the wider community by observation and reflection on your involvement within a not-for-profit organisation.
- Reflect on how your placement allowed you to gain personal, ethical, professional and spiritual development
- How the placement improved your business communication skills, information literacy and interpersonal skills
- How your critical and analytical abilities in understanding the importance of Not-For-Profit organisations and their role in the community has changed
The report headings should include:
- Overview of the organisation
- Overview of the placement role
- Awareness gained on social justice issues and the economic and social effects of modem life
- Awareness gained on the responsibility of individuals to the wider community
- Personal, ethical, professional and spiritual development
- Business communication skills, information literacy and interpersonal skills
- The importance of Not-For-Profit organisations and their role in the community
