Historically, poverty has been the impetus for developing a social welfare system and related policies. The view of poverty through history has resulted in negative bias and stereotyping of clients. For example, in the mid-1800s, poverty and lack of self-sufficiency were considered a personal failure, and it was thought that monetary assistance programs would not be helpful, as poverty was an inherent flaw of the individual. Identify the impact of two to three current views of poverty which have the potential to create bias. Identify three ways in which these biased views may impact service delivery. Select appropriate techniques to reduce these biases in service delivery. APA format is required. Write a 2-3 page paper using the text and a minimum of 2-3 primary scholarly journal articles.
