1. We know that a security flaw was the leading cause for the data breach. However, upon deeper analysis, it was discovered that a poor inventory management system may have contributed to the security flaw. Explain why having poor inventory management would be a contributing factor, and how would improving inventory management help with security.
2. In your opinion, why was security so lax at Equifax and how can this laxity be remedied?
3. Should companies like Equifax be compelled to announce data breaches to the public with a certain timeframe and what would be the downside of legalizing such a requirement?
