RBI Code Number: This code number is a requirement under the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act (FERA). For obtaining the code number, the firm has to apply to the Divisional Office of the Reserve Bank having jurisdiction over the area where the firm is located. There is a prescribed form of application for this purpose which is to be submitted in duplicate along with the report from the bank where the firm has opened a current account.
