Question: I have a product called Neverwet that creates a hydrophobic surface on stuff. There's a base and top spray. The top spray thats mainly acetone is supposed to keep water and a few other liquids away. It protects the surface from water but not from oil. As is know, acetone is a polar molecule like water, so isn't it suppose to mix? So my question is: why does the Neverwet spray protect it from water but not from oils and detergents?
