Question: What are several challenges that employees and organizations face in connecting their employees with wireless mobile devices? BYOD(Bring Your Own Device)
My answer: Due to the popularity of iPhone and android devices, employees want to use similar devices for business use. The challenges with mobile devices specifically BYOD is cost because the cost savings inherited from BYOD would be spent in IT managing the device. Just like laptops mobile devices have the same security threats. Data breaches can damage the reputation of a business and can cost millions of dollars. Business need to ensure that data stored on BYOD met compliance regulations. Privacy on a personal device can be infringed upon due to the controls placed on the device.
Question: Do these challenges outweigh the connectivity benefits you listed? Why or why not? The challenges don't outweight the benefits, My answer: AT&T provided a solution on BYOD by allowing the user to toggle between personal mode and work mode. With this concept, privacy and compliance regulations would be met and the user doesn't have to have two different phones for business.
How to elaborate on my response. Any suggestions?
