Q. What is the major transformation presented by the glomerular filtrate in comparison to the blood?
Glomerular filtrate is the name given to the plasma after it has entered the Bowman's capsule and passed the glomerulus. The glomerular filtrate has a different composition compared to urine since the fluid has not yet undergone tubular secretion and resorption.
The major difference between the blood and the glomerular filtrate is that in the latter the amount of proteins is at a minimum and there are blood platelets or no cells.
