Q. What are anteromedial aspects of temporal lobes?
Olfactory Cortex - found in anteromedial aspects of temporal lobes receive sensory information directly from the olfactory nerves (cranial nerves I).
"Wernicke's Area" also know as the "Speech Area"- a specialized sensory integration area found in the posterior region of the parietal lobe; near the temporal-parietal junction (near lateral sulcus). Receives sensory information from both visual and auditory association areas. Wernicke's area is involved in comprehension of written and spoken language (like during reading and conversation).
