Q. Steam Generator Piping?
Control valves shall be Fisher or Purchaser-approved equal.
All valves shall be detailed by size, rating, make, model number, and materials
Two high-pressure steam relief valves shall be provided on the steam piping. Vendor will advise capacity and set point of valves.
Steam and water piping to the first external valve shall be designed, fabricated, and tested in accordance.
Insulation shall be calcium silicate with aluminum jacketing. Electric Heat tracing shall be provided on lines outside the building enclosure.
All of the welds in radiant section shall be 100% radiographed. All remaining pressure retaining pipes or tubes of the Steam Generator, including external piping, shall be spot radiographed at 10% of the welded joints. The radiographs shall be acceptable, or shall be repaired, as per requirements of ASME Code, Section 1. All field welds shall be 100% radiographed.
All piping weld joint alignment shall be maintained strictly within ASME Code allowable tolerances. Inserts shall not be used for alignment.
Purchaser's Inspector shall have the option of selecting the joints to be radiographed. For every joint that fails to pass the acceptable standard, as specified in the Code, an additional welded joint shall be tested.
All radiographic examination and repairs shall be carried out at the Vendor's expense.
All piping to and from the Steam Generator boundary, such as gas supply, feedwater inlet, steam line, blowdown lines, drain, shall be pre-piped, with butt weld connections on the extreme ends.
