Q. Overview of Project Phases?
Conceptual Engineering Phase
The purpose of this phase of work is to develop the Client's proposal to a level of detail adequate to determine if the project is feasible and viable.
Preliminary Engineering Phase
This phase further refines the ‘engineering process design' and overall ‘design specification', to the degree where an increased level of confidence exists that the project is viable. A detailed business case evaluation is normally carried out by the Client at the completion of this phase.
Detailed Engineering Phase
This phase involves the completion of detailed engineering design, procurement of equipment and construction support preparation.
Construction Support Phase
The Construction Support Phase involves Mechanical activities and support necessary to resolve problems and other issues to ensure the timely completion of the field construction portion of the project.
Project Closeout
Project Closeout is the responsibility of the Project Manager/Engineer as defined in the WorleyParsons Project Management Procedures. Mechanical Engineering will provide Closeout input and support, as required by Project Management.
