Q. How to calculate Mode?
The mode of a data set is the value that is repeated most often in the data set. It has the highest frequency. There can be one, more than one, or no mode.
Example 3: The members of the drama club decide to find the most popular Shakespeare play according to the students in their school. They tally up the results they get from asking the students to vote:
Play Number of Votes
A Midsummer Night's Dream 38
King Lear 10
Taming of the Shrew 45
Hamlet 14
Romeo and Juliet 43
The most popular play is the mode of the data set. Since the Taming of the Shrew received the most number of votes, it is the mode of the data and the most popular Shakespeare play.
