Q. Give a brief description of integrating circuits ?
Integration is a summation of area. An integrating circuit produces an output voltage which is proportional to the area enclosed by the input waveform. The shape of the output voltage waveform is dependant upon the relationship between the time constant (RC) and the pulse width (PW). An integrating circuit is an RC circuit with the output taken across the capacitor and RC ≥ (10 x PW).
